Article changes

[edit]

I am turning my attention to this article, and I hope to start working on fixing some issues here during the week. Problems that need to be addressed: 1. References need to be fixed. All of the "ibid' references need to be lumped into one reference, and all of the bare links and other incomplete references need more information added. 2. Some parts need to be sourced better. The Housing Act of 1949 section is lacking citations entirely, and other parts, such as most of the lead, have large blocks of text with only one source. 3. Vast portions of the article are lacking wikilinks. However, since many of the acts listed here do not have separate articles, this may be difficult or impossible. 4. This article most resembles a list. I believe that it could be rewritten to make it more similar to the "New Deal" or "Great Society" articles, although this is a major undertaking that I'm not sure I can accomplish. At any rate, it could use some additional non-list sections, such as something about the background, legacy and history of the Fair Deal. --Slon02 (talk) 01:40, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
